The Flamenco Factory in Javea

For music passionate people, Javea does not only offer concerts, live music shows and both dance and musical representations. This costal town has some parts that are meant for the usual visitor to see, but unfortunately most of them are not promoted accordingly. You must be familiar with their traditional music genre, called flamenco, but it is highly unlikely to know how their guitars are made. You can find the answer at only 9 kilometers (approximately 5 miles) away from the town of Javea. The Guitar Factory Javea is located in a settlement named Gata. This small village is nice to scout a bit too.

The Guitar Factory Javea is open to anyone who wants to see the process of making guitars. They manufacture special guitars meant for singing flamenco music but also normal guitars meant for acoustic sounds of other music genres. The unique particularity of these Spanish guitars is the fact that they are very thin. However, the sound is similar to the one made by a normal guitar. The top of these musical instruments is manufactured in the same way, namely by gluing two pieces of wood together. All the other parts are similar as well.

If you can afford to pay a couple hundred euros after you've paid for your Javea rentals, you can purchase a handmade guitar made with passion for the passionate. However, you can just simply visit the factory. It is open during the weekdays, between 9 AM and 7 PM, with a 2 hours break between 1 and 3 PM.
