Celebrating First Editions in Javea

The year 2009 has a great importance for Javea’s residents. This is because it marks the threshold of 40 years since the first tourist guide about this Spanish resort was published. Javea’s status and touristic situation is much different since its development started, during the ‘60s. This former fishing village went through a major process of expansion and has earned a few significant recognitions. The urbanization process and the construction of the Parador meant a lot for its overall image.

Javea is presented in the guides made for its exploration as a settlement full of life and color. Multiple points of interest are described in it, but it mainly talks about 6 most important strengths. The sun and the sea are obviously included among the most essential characteristics. All the adjacent activities, such as fishing, sunbathing or boating are presented as well. The Montgo Mountain, the gardens and the afferent riu-raus groves are described as alternatives to a vacation spent on the beach. The feeling of rural locality is given on purpose, because many visitors appreciate this aspect. The port maps and the historic center maps are included.

The content of the initial guide and the ulterior editions were given to the most important media channels in order to promote Javea in a more efficient way. In our days, you can find the addition of pictures and short descriptions translated in different languages quite useful. Also, the list of nightclubs, restaurants and bars surrounding the Javea villa rentals was supplemented according to the real situation.
