Art on the Promenade in Javea

Javea is house to many artistic shows and other activities related to art. This coastal village is not charming just because of its surreal beaches, but also thanks to some cultural reasons. As a typical settlement from Spain, it is mainly made of whitewashed houses and narrow streets paved with colored stone. It also has some monuments among its constructions.

The port area does not lack of a form of cultural manifestation either. The promenade looks different every year. This is because the town council takes care of two aspects in one way. In order to change the image of the promenade and also to promote several sculptors, the town council’s representatives choose multiple sculptures for the annual display which can be seen from certain Javea rentals.

Near Javea’s port there is a tourist information office that should be your starting point for the promenade’s sightseeing. You can ask for a brochure that contains information about the sculptures. In this way you can stop near every sculpture and read a bit about it. The names of the sculptors are also included in the brochure. The port’s area is full of other things to do, so do not think of the sculptures as the only points of interest from this part of Javea.

Before or after you admire the sculptures, you can have a drink or eat lunch at any of the restaurants and pubs situated along the promenade. When you RentIn Javea your sure to find various shops and libraries that will tempt you with their offers. You can safely give in to your temptations because the prices are not high.
