The Javea Golf Club

The Javea golf club is located in Xabia-Benitatxell Km. 45, Javea, Spain; it is a 9-hole golf course, club, and pro shop. The course is a place both locals and tourists can play some golf, enjoy a nice lunch, and perhaps get some pointers from the club pro.

They are not opened in the evenings, but it makes a nice day trip for a golf enthusiast. The club is fully open to non-members, boasts a picturesque driving range, and has buggy and trolley services available to all. They also have golf lessons available, to those not privy to the sport.

You’ll pay 18 holes: 50 € or 9 holes: 30 €. Which is a good bargain compared other courses, in other parts of Europe. The play is a little slow compared to courses elsewhere of the same size, but with the great views, it’s really worth what you pay for. Make sure to schedule your time accordingly to the courses slow pace, and expect to have a late lunch.

The current golf pro on site is José Andrés Moyano David. Two other seasoned golfers offer professional lessons around 75 € for 5 lessons. The pro shop offers all the top brands of golf gear, and accessories. It’s not a “particularly” challenging course, but it is a relaxing, sight-full experience to say the least.

Let’s just say it’s a nice view to play through. There are tougher courses in the area, but this is a good enough course to test the skills of a beginner. It’s a wonderful spot to bring one who is not a pro yet, but still wants to experience a challenging golf getaway. And with many different villas in Javea close by you won’t have far to walk to get to the course.
